Pre and After School Care

Building on the success of last year’s Afterschool and Homework Club, we are delighted to share some great news with you.

We have partnered with Sherpa Kids, a professional afterschool care provider, who will be opening their service on our premises from October 13th (approximately six weeks’ time).

In the meantime, our school staff will continue to bridge the gap by running the same service as last year, ensuring continuity for the children until Sherpa Kids begins their full and extended programme.

Costs and Savings for Families

• Sherpa Kids: Details Below:

  • Available from 2.30pm until 6pm, Monday - Friday, Parents can select the hours/days their child attends

  • €7 per hour (before subsidies/reduction).

  • REDUCTIONS AVAILABLE TO ALL FAMILIES

    • €5.31 per hour with the minimum National Childcare Scheme (NCS) subsidy of €2.14 per hour, which every family is entitled to.

    • FURTHER reductions of between €2.14 and €3.75 per hour can be received depending on individual family's entitlements, making the service as affordable—or in many cases cheaper—than what we previously offered.

How to Apply for the NCS Reductions
Be ready for October: To avail of these reductions, all parents need to do is apply to the NCS CLICK HERE. Once completed, Sherpa Kids can process the reductions directly for you.

How to Apply for the September/October Afterschool Club

We will send an application form home tomorrow for parents to complete. Our staff will happily run the club as per last year until such time as Sherpa's extended service is in place.

Breakfast Club

We will explore the option of a Breakfast Club should we have sufficient numbers for the club to be a viable option
