Here in Midleton CBS Primary School we are so very proud of our multicultural community. In our school alone we have families from over 25 different countries.
This has enriched our school with a diverse and exclusive school community. We pride ourselves on promoting an environment where we embrace diversity and incorporate the ideas and cultural backgrounds of those around us. We are always looking for ways to celebrate what makes us unique and special. These are opportunities for us as a school community to learn from one another in a very real way.
Christmas is just one of those times! It is a perfect time to find out about the differences and similarities we share when it comes to celebrating this very special time of year.
This Christmas as a way of highlighting all the different countries represented in our school 6th Class set about recording a video message for you all. They wanted to incorporate all the languages from all the different countries These ranged from Irish to Polish to Lámh (an Irish sign language programme).
We are so very proud of them all for the work they have done in highlighting Christmas in this very special way. We really hope you enjoy their video.
