Today we began our 12 days of Christmas. Can you believe it?…..there are only 12 full school days left to the Christmas break. Our last day will be the 21st of December and we will finish at 12noon.
The 12 Days of Christmas is a series of events planned by our Well-Being Committee as a way of celebrating and creating lots of fun and excitement in the build up to Christmas. There will be fun events like movie day and hot chocolate day, there will be exciting days with Christmas quizzes and colouring competitions and most importantly there will be reflective days where we take time out to focus on the true meaning of Christmas, where we focus on the spirit of giving, of being present and being there for one another. Today each class will take time to visit our reflective space created around the theme of Advent and help us begin the 12 Days of Christmas from a very true and reflective place.
We have also launched our Christmas Food Appeal and will be donating all food received to the Midleton Hub who are putting together food parcels for families in our local community for Christmas.
Our Christmas Jumper Day will be held in aid of The Simon Community and all donations will help all those who find themselves homeless this Christmas.
