The Clean Up: January 2020
Our school garden suffered a lot of damage in the recent bad weather making the space difficult to access and use. However this did not deter the staff and their willingness to create a space for the boys to enjoy. A Garden Committee was formed and tasked with exploring the idea of creating an outdoor classroom space that would benefit all our boys. Phase one: The Tidy Up! I’m sure you’ll all agree that they have made an INCREDIBLE start! Tús maith leath na hoibre. We cannot wait for phase 2! A MASSIVE Thank you to everyone on the garden committee and all who have helped so far.
Phase 2: Adding Some Colour
Phase 2 of the creation of our outdoor classroom has begun! It starts with a whole school art project for when we have all returned to school. Our outdoor classroom is surrounded by a glass corridor that allows views of the central garden from both the red and blue corridors. We are going to ensure our garden has colour ALL year round with a surrounding mural on all the windows. A MASSIVE thank you to the very talented Celine for creating such a wonderful mural. We can’t wait to get the boys in to start painting 🧑🏾🎨 🎨🖌 Stay tuned for updates!!!!
Phase 2 of creating our School Outdoor Classroom is complete! We started off with 16 clear panes of glass and today we have the most bright and colourful school garden mural that will not only brighten up the garden but the school corridors too. A MASSIVE thank you to our fantastically talented SNA Celine and her talented team of helpers for what is sure to bring a smile to many, many faces!
