Remote Learners of the Week!

RETURN TO SCHOOL
Before we begin with the announcements we would just like to say what a tonic it has been the past two weeks having the boys back with us! We are really looking forward to when the older classes will join us! Thanks for following all the correct protocols and procedures. We can’t leave our guard down. Tiredness will have an impact on all the boys as the weeks progress and they readjust to life at school.... I’m sure you have all probably noticed! Plenty of TLC and understanding will be needed all round and don’t forget to keep some for the teachers and parents too!!!!

SCHOOL GARDEN/OUTDOOR CLASSROOM

Last January we set up our School Garden Committee to bring life back to the space and make it into an outdoor classroom. Unfortunately Covid-19 closures have slowed our progress but we are ready to go again! Phase 1: Operation Clearance is now complete!

Phase 2 of the creation of our outdoor classroom has begun! It starts with a whole school art project for when we have all returned to school. Our outdoor classroom is surrounded by a glass corridor that allows views of the central garden from both the red and blue corridors. We are going to ensure our garden has colour ALL year round with a surrounding mural on all the windows. A MASSIVE thank you to the very talented Celine for creating such a wonderful mural. We can’t wait to get the boys in to start painting 🧑🏾‍🎨 🎨🖌 Stay tuned for updates!!!!

Check out Facebook/Instagram/Twitter for all the photos of this exciting project.

ENGINEERING WEEK
The entries for The Engineering Week 2021 competition have been coming in thick and fast. To say we have been impressed would be a gross understatement! Winners will be announced on all social media platforms later today. Photos of all the entries can also there and were posted last night for parents.

WORLD BOOK DAY
World book day was Wednesday, a day that is usually celebrated with great fun and excitement throughout the school. Although 5th had their own mini celebrations by creating book characters out of potatoes (check out social media for photos) we have decided to defer our celebrations until the end of the month so we can enjoy engineering week to its fullest. We will keep you all posted but get those thinking caps on for those costumes!

So NOW it's time to announce those pupils that this week deserve special recognition for all they have done, their effort, thoughtfulness achievements and determination. Our Pupils/Remote Learners of the Week are:
